Mechanical Supervisor Data Centre Construction: Key Duties & Responsibilities Salary & Benefits Package
Our client is a multi-disciplined main contractor operating across the UK and Europe with a turnover of €750m and sustained annual growth of 5%–7.5%. They deliver large-scale, turnkey projects for blue-chip clients, with a strong focus on data centres and other technology-heavy developments.
Due to continued growth and a recent major project win, our client is now seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to support the delivery of mechanical services on a flagship data centre project in Düsseldorf, Germany. This is a site-based role working closely with the Mechanical Lead and wider project team on a complex, high-value project.
• Supervise day-to-day mechanical installation works on site
• Coordinate and oversee mechanical subcontractors and site labour
• Ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with project RAMS, programme, and quality requirements
• Support the Mechanical Lead with short-term planning, sequencing, and look-ahead schedules
• Monitor progress against programme and report any issues, delays, or resource constraints
• Carry out quality inspections to ensure installations meet drawings, specifications, and relevant standards
• Assist with the review of technical drawings, method statements, and permits to work
• Manage snagging, defect resolution, and punch-list close-out
• Support testing, commissioning, and integrated systems testing activities
• Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, and as-built documentation
• Liaise closely with electrical, CSA, and commissioning teams to ensure coordinated delivery
